Course Selection: Other Departments
When your curriculum requires courses that are not hosted by your home department, the system provides a specific workflow to browse and add these units.
Step 1: Accessing External Departments
Within the registration interface, locate the tab or button labelled "Other Departments".
Clicking this will trigger the system to load the directory of all other available schools and colleges within the university.
Step 2: Navigating the School List
A list of constituent schools (such as Babcock Business School, School of Computing, or Engineering) will appear in a grid or table format.
To find the specific department you are looking for, you may need to scroll through multiple pages.
Step 3: Using Pagination to Browse
Look for the navigation controls at the bottom of the data table (highlighted in the interface).
Use the "Next" button (often represented by a
>or arrow icon) to move to the subsequent page of schools. You can also adjust the "View" setting (e.g., changing from 15 to 30) to see more departments on a single screen, reducing the need to click "Next" repeatedly.
Step 4: Selecting the Target Department
Once you locate the correct school, click on the highlighted School Code or Name (e.g., clicking CES for the School of Computing).
The system will then display the specific courses available for registration within that external department for the current semester.
